I've tried various things to get it to work, uninstalled iTunes various times, tried a different cable, tried different USB ports, deleted the lockdown thing from the 'apple' folder on windows...heeeeelp

tried all of the things listed on that webpage for a great big zero, no help whatsoever.
have you tried restarting your ipod by holding down menu and select buttons together until apple logo appears??
Try turning the cable that goes into the iPod around 180 degrees. This worked for me! Why doesn't Apple have an indicator on the cable for the correct way around??
